Portfolio Reviews

Every month, we will be hosting online portfolio reviews. These will be conducted online and facilitated by carefully selected art professionals who will offer invaluable feedback and advice.

How to Sign Up

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CURATORS

  • For a group exhibition: select 8 artworks in total – remember they must be from different artists
  • For a solo exhibition: select 6 artworks
  • Choose a title and theme for the exhibition
  • Write a curatorial statement – up to 300 words
  • Create a floor plan – showing where the works would be placed in the space (optional)
  • Create a document with the exhibition title, curatorial statement and artworks displaying title, medium, size and name of artist for each
  • Write a covering note with your bio and a brief statement of what you want from the session (add this to the document)
  • Save the document as a pdf
  • Attach the file or send a google drive link (ensure you have given us permission to view the files)
  • Attach proof of payment (GHS 50: momo 0550802271 – MTN)
  • Send to enquiries@lafa.org.gh

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, SCULPTURES, PHYSICAL INSTALLATION OR PHOTOGRAPHS

  • Select up to 6 artworks you want to be reviewed
  • Create a document with images of the artworks, (labelled with titles and material)
  • Your bio
  • An artistic statement about your artwork, and a brief statement of intention (what do you want from the session?)
  • Save the document as a pdf
  • Attach the document to an email
  • Attach proof of payment (GHS 50: momo 0550802271 – MTN)
  • Send the email to enquiries@lafa.org.gh

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR DANCERS & MOVEMENT ARTISTS

  • Select one dance/movement composition that you have choreographed
  • Record yourself performing the composition- it should be no longer than 3 minutes.
  • Save the video in mp4 format for your submission
  • Create a document with your bio, an artistic statement about the dance composition and a brief statement of intention (what do you want from the session.)
  • Save the document as a pdf
  • Attach the document and video file to an email
  • Attach proof of payment (GHS 50: momo 0550802271 – MTN)
